Deposit and Payment:
A non-refundable two-stage deposit is required for all weddings.  The first non-refundable $1000 is due up front in order to reserve the ballroom and sunroom for a specific date.  The second non-refundable payment of $1000 will be due six months prior to your wedding date. Unless other arrangements are made ahead of time, Spring Hill requires final payment made by personal check, bank check or cash.  Credit cards will not be accepted for any payment or prepayment except the initial deposit.  If a personal check is used it must be received by the Sunday prior to your reception, only a bank check or cash will be accepted for final payment after that.
 


Guarantees & Times:
We must receive a firm guarantee a minimum of 10 days prior to your event.  If by 7 days prior to your event we have not received your guarantee Spring Hill reserves the right to use the highest estimated number of guests for your final count.  Spring Hill does require minimum charge amounts on wedding receptions taking place between May and October.   No event may run for more than five hours, and no later than 12:00 midnight.

 

 

Ceremonies:

The Top of the Hill Wedding site is available for your ceremony at no extra cost as part of your wedding package.  Other sites on the grounds may be used for your ceremony and/or pictures if they are available.  White chairs for the ceremony are available and can be rented at an additional cost.  Please note that Spring Hill does not guarantee exclusivity of grounds for on-premise weddings.

 


Decorating:
All decorating must be done in a manner that insures no damage to the room or to any fixtures, tables, chairs, linens, glass and silverware.  The use of real rose petals inside the facility is prohibited, only silk petals may be used to decorate.  The room will be available for decorating no earlier than 9:00 am, unless other arrangements are agreed upon.  In cases where the event takes place between 6:30 pm and 12:00 midnight the room will be available for decorating at 5:15 pm.
 


Damages:
The individual or group booking an event will be responsible for the repair or replacement of any damage caused to buildings, grounds, any equipment or linen.
 


DJ/Band Services:
Spring Hill will provide DJs with one table and tablecloth, and access to power.  All music, equipment, speakers, and extension cords are the responsibility of the DJ and or band.  DJs and bands may set up 1 hour before the start of an event unless arrangements are made at least 3 days prior to the event to set up earlier.  Set up will be in the designated area or in an area arranged by Spring Hill staff and the individual planning the event.  Speakers must be set up next to DJ/band and no cords will be allowed to be run across walk or dance areas.  Spring Hill staff may also limit the placement of speakers and or volume to be reduced to prevent disruption to the restaurant or other functions.
 


Liquor/Bar Services:
Spring Hill holds a State of Maine Class A Restaurant Liquor License and follows all state and federal liquor laws.  Under this license guests are not allowed to bring any alcoholic beverages onto Spring Hill property and that all liquor purchased at Spring Hill must be consumed within the building.  We reserve the right to limit and control the amount of alcoholic beverages consumed by our guests.  If these policies are not complied with Spring Hill reserves the right to ask offenders to leave the premise and to close the bar at any time.  It is Spring Hill’s policy to offer a last call for drinks 45 minutes prior to the end of any function.
 


Cancellations:
Spring Hill’s Policy is that the deposit is non refundable.
